The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the worldā€™s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration, with over 3 million tests taken in the last year. It is available in two versions: Academic: For students pursuing higher education in overseas destinations. General: For those migrating for Immigration (Permanent Residency). However, all candidates do the same Listening and Speaking sections for Academic and GeneralVersions. IELTS is a paper-based exam where each section and the overall score is given out of 9 bands.
